The project to be promoted in this Apollo II consists of developing a tool to estimate hydrogen supply and contribute to strengthening the infrastructure of a key sector for the energy transition.
Apollo II shows how the Venture Builder model connects institutions, entrepreneurship, and technical capabilities around a common challenge:
- Institutions: Zaragoza City Council (economic support and space in Etopia) and Fundación Ibercaja (promotion via Mobility City and technical office).
- Entrepreneurship: H2Point team, winner of the Challenge Day by Ibercaja.
- Technical capacity: SATEL, with more than 30 years of experience in energy and telecommunications.
- Sectorial vision: Fundación Hidrógeno Aragón, a national and European benchmark.
- Technical Office: ¿Por qué no?, design, monitoring, development, and market validation.
From ¿Por qué no?, we participate in the strategic coordination and revitalization of working sessions, helping to align all stakeholders and set milestones that allow for orderly progress toward the tool’s development. This role ensures that technical knowledge and sectoral vision are translated into real and measurable advances.
Apollo II is an example of how the Venture Builder model transforms complex challenges into concrete projects, accelerating collaboration between talent, institutions, and companies. This project reinforces Zaragoza’s position as an innovation hub and lays the groundwork for a hydrogen sector that is more robust, competitive, and prepared to lead the energy transition.
This case reflects the commitment of the Zaragoza City Council, Fundación Ibercaja, and the different partners to public-private collaboration, as well as the trust placed in ¿Por qué no? to coordinate and revitalize processes that drive projects with high technological and social impact.
