Exploring Futures to Anticipate Innovation in Health

In a healthcare environment in constant transformation, this insurance company sought to anticipate changes in medical planning and design strategies that would allow it to position itself as a pioneer company in products and services for the next 15 years. Its objective was to visualize possible futures based on signals and drivers—objective data from the present—to prepare for the different scenarios and detect opportunities in advance.

From PQNO, we supported the insurance company’s innovation unit in identifying and analyzing key signals and drivers. With them, we built over 100 possible scenarios, prioritizing those with the greatest strategic relevance to transform the long-term vision into concrete product and service opportunities.

This work allowed the innovation roadmap to be structured into three strategic horizons:

  1. Productos y servicios que generan negocio hoy.
  2. Strategies that will generate business tomorrow.
  3. Disruptive projects, linked to science and innovation, with a horizon of 8-15 years.

Thanks to this process, the company now has a clear and anticipated vision of the future of health, a preliminary portfolio of opportunities, and a replicable methodology that will help it continue exploring futures and prepare to lead market changes.

This case reflects the company’s commitment to strategic innovation and the trust placed in PQNO to accompany them in building possible futures that guide their present decisions.
